Hello Mike:
Thanks Mike for the update! I have been monitoring 17 and no change at all,I keep thinking that maybe the next pass will indicate some change in AVHRR output but it seems to me recovery will not be possible and that it is a hard seize. Im just wondering how long it will be till Noaa shuts the AVHRR and STX off? Noaa-17 will be missed as Her life was rather short! And on that subject I am amazed at Noaa-15 Back from certain AVHRR Death and being Launched in early
1998 it must be close to a new longevity record held by Noaa-9,12 and 14. Anyway things could change as I hope it will for Noaa-17 time will tell.
Thanks,
Fred
