21:18 UTC CASTOR very weak signals – but she’s alive and telemetry interval is still 30 seconds
Ivan (KD4HBO): There will be a laser ranging experiment this weekend from Maui. Both satellites have retroreflectors all over. Part of the experiment is to pulse a laser at the satellites at a high rate in an attempt to measure the spin rate. The results will be compared with the student MEMS payloads. There will also be an attempt to do a long wavelenth IR imaging to get thermal signatures. If you can collect data from now through Sunday and send the data to ande@juno.nrl.navy.mil, it will be greatly appreciated. Also, if you want, you can send your address and I will mail out a QSL card. I will be getting them printed real soon.
