AAUSat-3 – End of mission (?)

After 1 year, 6 months and 22 days in orbit we might have seen the end of the AAUSAT3 mission…

If you have been following the AAUSAT3 mission, then you’ve probably heard our mentioning about the experienced decline in power production. During the last couple of weeks AAUSAT3 passed the break even point, and beyond this the battery pack voltage just slowly dropped, until finally the day before yesterday, 2014-09-17 at 10:20 CEST (GMT+2), we received the last transmission from the AAUSAT3 satellite, telling us, that the battery now was at 6.72V, which is just before the satellite will enter its recovery mode.
