It was found/concluded that the power of COM has dropped at least 3dB, maybe even more. Most probably we have to blame power transistors inside the used PA chip. I think that is known for many years, that power electronics doesn’t like high-energy particles and our PA doesn’t have any specific radiation shielding on it (but could have).
Power production of solar cells has dropped even more. Latest news have been, that the satellite is now, when just EPS alone running, just a bit power positive, charging of the batteries takes many days. Slowly dropping energy production (which is well visible also for HAMs when watching MPPT currents and comparing with those from year 2013) starts limiting satellite operations. In that sense we share the faith of AAUSat-3, who uses exactly the same technology as we did (we learned from them :-p). There will be a scientific paper published soon about EC-1 EPS subsystem flight behavior.
Recently CDHS firmware (in last couple of days) was updated to allow even better logging, compression of the log files, and more correct high voltage source control.
