01:20 UTC first of all (good news) – CP5 is weak but also active in eclipses
tracked a complete pass with TLE for 90038 and saw 7 beacons in a row without any deviation

CP5 Decoded 0350utc 26 Sept 2012
The following two graphics show an abridged dump of an IQ File from my Funcube SDR, and the KissDump of a Decoded CP5 burst.
The abridged dump shows the CSSWE signal on the left and the CP5 signal on the right.
The CP5 CW signal commenced at 03:53utc.
This pass was a high elevation (80 degrees) overhead pass and CP5 beaconed close to TCA. Other bursts were recorded but were too weak to decode.
… first CP5 beacon decoded
We receive the signal since one week but it’s very weak and very hard to decode.
But yesterday JA5BLZ received a good packet good and sent us an audio file.
My friend Tetsu JA0CAW decoded this audio file with SOUNDMODEM by UZ7HO. It’s based on AGW-PE software decoder. I have written a KISS decoder for that software and so we could get our first complete KISS frame.
Next – I used my old CP-6 telemetry decoder software and we have a good result :-) Maybe some telemetry channels are wrong but it looks fine so far …
Great thanks to JA5BLZ and JA0CAW
NROL-36 TLE lottery – update
After a week we have now 3 groups:
1st Obj I, Obj H
2nd Obj D, Obj F and Obj J, Obj K
3rd Obj G
All cubesats in the 2nd group are very close together and it’s not possible to make a decision yet.
I analyzed the CSSWE beacon signal and simulated a pass with all TLE. And we can see a similiar result. Obj G, H, I are not the right ones. All others are close together and you can track with one of them. But it shows, that my calculation method is right :-)
