BugSat-1 is working properly, and we are very happy with it. We are doing experiments and downloading some images. In fact, Iji and Kasei Toshio from Japan, have collaborated lots of image fragments (without knowing it at first), Mario of course is an amazing listener, and some others have sent some fragments to. Lately Mike asked us for the format to the images, and we still have to give it to him, so he can add it to his software. Tita is not continuously broadcasting images, but we can tell it to do so over a certain region, for example.
The main camera on BugSat-1 is working, but we have not downloaded an image we can share yet, we are still improving the quality there. Though we have a few pretty pictures from secondary cameras. Downlink is incredibly good from both radios (a Li-1 again, and one of our own design that we’ll reuse on the next satellites). Uplink works very well too… when we don’t have problems in the ground stations :-(
We have upgraded the software on the satellite regularly, meaning we uploaded quite a few big files to it.
